As part of the closing events of “Istanbul, Cultural Capital of Europe 2010”, Sakıp Sabancı Museum of Istanbul held an exhibition that gathered the best samples of calligraphy and Islamic Art from the Aga Khan Museum.
The show included more than one hundred works including unique Qur’ans, manuscripts and miniatures, portraits, textiles and architectural elements.
The exhibit has a refined and sophisticated dim ambiance where the artefacts are displayed large-scale showcases that disappear as a container to give life to the works presented.
